What would happen if everyone dedicated their birthdays to raising funds to keep students in school? Inspired to keep kids in school, Nelson, a Burundian native dedicates his birthday to raise money for students in rural areas in Burundi.

On Thursday, Nelson woke up in morning sending his "NELSON'S BIRTHDAY WISH letter" to his friends with one request in mind -give a gift that will be used to cover education fees for students who are generally performing really well but whose parents cannot afford to cover school fees for their top performing children. "Will you help me keep these students stay in the classroom?" asked Nelson in his instagram post.

Today, I celebrate my birthday (April 25th) by raising funds for the most vulnerable children attending trade school in rural areas in Burundi

The funds raised will be used to cover education fees for students who are doing really well in school, but whose parents cannot afford to cover school fees for their top performing children.

Will you help me keep these underserved students in the classroom?

My goal is to raise $1,000 today. Thank you so much for joining hands to help these children reach their fullest potential.

It is going to cost me $70 to cover school room and board per student. - Will you please join efforts with me to give these students a second chance?

Your donation can be sent via Cash App at $NelsonNT or Wilson’s Venmo: @Wilson-Kubwayo

With gratitude!

Nelson
